Frequently Asked Questions

Is my appointment confirmed when I submit a request?

No. Submitting the form sends an appointment request only. Vital Wellness & Performance will review your preferred date, availability, location, and travel route, then contact you to offer and confirm an available appointment time.

Why do I select an availability window instead of an exact time?

Because this is a mobile service, appointments must be coordinated around travel distance, route efficiency, and the length of previously scheduled visits. Your availability window helps us offer a time that works for you without creating overlapping appointments.

What is a Good Faith Exam (GFE)?

A Good Faith Exam is a brief medical evaluation completed by a licensed medical provider before treatment. The provider reviews your health history, current medications, allergies, and other relevant information to determine whether the requested service is clinically appropriate.

When will I complete my Good Faith Exam?

When required, the GFE is completed remotely before the nurse travels to your location. You will receive the necessary link after your appointment request is reviewed and before your visit is finalized.

How long is my Good Faith Exam valid?

Your initial GFE may remain valid for up to one year when your health information has not changed. You must report any new diagnosis, medication, allergy, pregnancy, procedure, hospitalization, or other meaningful health change before treatment because a new evaluation may be required.

Is there a fee for the Good Faith Exam?

One required Good Faith Exam per year is included at no additional charge. If another exam is required during that year because your medical information changes or must be reevaluated, the cost of the additional exam may be charged to you before treatment.

What happens if the medical provider does not clear me for treatment?

Your safety comes first. If the provider determines that IV therapy or a requested ingredient is not appropriate, the treatment may be modified, postponed, or declined. An appointment request does not guarantee clinical approval.

Will my nurse review my health information again at the visit?

Yes. Before treatment begins, the nurse will confirm that the information you provided remains accurate and that nothing important has changed since your screening. This confirmation is not a new diagnosis or medical evaluation.

How long does an appointment take?

Appointment length varies by treatment, vein access, patient needs, and the prescribed infusion rate. Most visits include time for assessment, IV placement, the infusion itself, documentation, and removal of the IV.

Where can treatments be provided?

Visits may be requested for an eligible home, office, hotel, or event location within the service area. The setting must be safe, clean, private enough for medical care, and approved before the appointment is confirmed.

Can everyone receive IV therapy?

No. IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Eligibility depends on your medical history, medications, allergies, current symptoms, pregnancy status, vital signs, and the provider-approved protocols for the requested treatment.

Can I receive IV therapy while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Pregnant or breastfeeding clients require additional clinical review. Treatment is offered only when permitted by the medical provider, supported by the applicable protocol, and considered appropriate for the individual patient.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Vital Wellness & Performance is a cash-pay wellness service and does not bill health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash, and Venmo. A valid credit or debit card is required on file when an appointment is made. The card will not be charged until the appointment has been completed, unless you request another accepted payment method. The card may also be charged if an applicable cancellation fee is due.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments canceled more than 24 hours before the scheduled visit may be canceled without a fee. Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled visit are subject to a $35 cancellation fee. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Why is a card required on file?

A valid credit or debit card is required on file when your appointment is made. It will not be charged at the time you submit a visit request. After the appointment is completed, the card may be used for payment unless you request to pay by cash, Venmo, or another accepted method. It may also be charged for an applicable $35 cancellation fee.

Is tipping required?

No. Tipping is never required. The goal is to provide safe, professional, and attentive nursing care at every visit.

Who administers the treatments?

Treatments are administered by a licensed registered nurse operating under physician-approved protocols and the clinical oversight structure of the medical practice.

What should I do in an emergency?

Vital Wellness & Performance does not provide emergency medical care. Call 911 or seek immediate emergency treatment for chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of stroke, severe allergic reaction, loss of consciousness, or any other urgent symptoms.
